Materials used in rhinoplasty

I. Autogenic

  1. Cartilaginous nasal septum

The cartilage is taken from the septum of the nose. This method is most often used for plastic surgery of the tip of the nose.

      2.  Ear cartilage

Cartilage tissue is taken from the ear, leaving no visible scars or changes in shape. This cartilage is usually curved, and is used in the transformation of the tip of the nose.

     3. Costal cartilage

It is taken from the rib, leaving a small scar (2-3cm). This cartilage is larger in size and sturdier.

     4. Subcutis fat (Dermo-fat)

It is taken from the hip and leaves no visible scars. Subcutis fat has no side effects and can be used in the bridge of the nose, an increase in the tip of the nose and revision surgery, but there is a risk of absorption.

II. Artificial

     1. Silicone

Usually used in the transformation of the bridge, as it retains its shape and is easily removed.

  1. Gortex

Softer than silicone, and does not create an empty space around the implant, which causes complications.

III. Allogeneic tissues

    1. Allogeneic cartilage

Transplanting tissues from the donor is very safe, and eliminates the need to take your own cartilage and leave a scar.

  1. AlloDerm (AlloDerm)

Biological material that allows the body to mount its own tissue in the process of regeneration. It has excellent healing properties. Used in plastic surgery on the tip of the nose and internal transformations.

  1. For men

The procedures used for men and women are the same, but the desired results are different. Surgeons have extensive experience working with male clients from around the world.

Simple Rhinoplasty

Also known as rhinoplasty build-up. For people with a low nose, a simple rhinoplasty can raise the bridge of the nose. This operation is often done in conjunction with others to give an overall improvement.

Is this procedure for you?

  1. Your nose is low
  2. You are unhappy with your appearance
  3. You have sunglasses on your cheeks
  4. You have a wide distance between the eyes

How is the procedure performed?

A simple rhinoplasty is done through a small incision inside the nose, the implant is inserted and placed in place.

Flat nose

A flat nose is often found in people from Asia. The low bridge of the nose and the tip create the appearance of a flat face. Nasal bridge and nose tip plastic surgery can be combined to give a more refined look and regain harmony to your face.

Is this procedure for you?

  1. Your nose is low
  2. You have a low and wide tip of the nose
  3. You have large flat features
  4. You would like to have a higher nose

How is the procedure performed?

Nasal bridge is performed using implant or autogenous tissues. If necessary, the plastic operation on the tip of the nose is performed using autogenous cartilage to expand and change the tip.

Roman nose

Roman nose (nose with appearance of being curved or slightly bent) has a protruding bone and cartilage in on the bridge of the nose. This makes the face hard and manly. The operation to correct the aquiline nose smooths out the hump and straightens the nose.

Is this procedure for you?

  1. You have a large protruding bone and cartilage on the nose
  2. You have a hump due to an injury
  3. You are unhappy with your hard face

How is the procedure performed?

With small violations of the nose line, the hump can be easily removed. However, in special cases, to create the desired result, cartilage and bone must be removed and reconstructed. Often this procedure is done in combination with rhinoplasty of the build-up and the plastic operation of the tip of the nose (flat nose).

Long nose

Usually the nose looks long because of the long septum or the lowered tip of the nose. A long nose visually lengthens the face and breaks the overall harmony.

Is this procedure for you?

  1. You have a dangling tip of the nose
  2. You have an elongated septum
  3. You have signs of aging
  4. You are dissatisfied with your appearance
  5. When you smile, the tip of your nose touches the upper lip

How is the procedure performed?

A long nose can be transformed by increasing the cartilage of the wing of the nose, by pruning a cartilaginous septum, or by a combination of both. Specialized surgeons will determine the most appropriate method of operation depending on your individual characteristics.

Short nose (Upturned Nose)

The upturned tip of the nose visually shortens the nose. In most cases, it also opens the nostrils.

Is this procedure for you?

  1. You have protruding nostrils
  2. You have a short nose
  3. You have an elevated tip of the nose due to previous rhinoplasty
  4. You are dissatisfied with your appearance

How is the procedure performed?

Correction of the tip of the nose can be done using various methods based on the use of autogenous cartilage. If the nose is low, these methods can be combined with rhinoplasty.

Deviated Nose

Deviated nose has an irregular shape or bend. This can lead to nasal obstruction, which makes breathing difficult. Also, a deviated nose may have a non-aesthetic appearance.

Is this procedure for you?

  1. You have a deviated or curved nose
  2. You suffer from nasal congestion
  3. Your implant or cartilage shifted after the previous operation
  4. You have a non-esthetic nose shape as a result of an accident
  5. You have asymmetrical nostrils

How is the procedure performed?

A change in the shape of the nasal bone or cartilage is performed to correct the deflection or deviation of the nose. In most cases, the deviation is caused by the curvature of the nasal septum. Correction of deviation is very important in order to prevent relapse.

Wide nose (Osteotomy)

The reason for a wide nose can be a broad bone structure of the nose, a wide tip of the nose or wide nostrils. To solve this problem, osteotomy or narrowing of the base of the wings can be used. As a result, your nose becomes slimmer and more attractive.

Is this procedure for you?

  1. You have a broad nose bridge
  2. You have wide or large nostrils
  3. You have a wide tip of the nose
  4. You have a visually flat face due to a wide nose
  5. You are dissatisfied with the way your nose looks like

How is the procedure performed?

There are various methods to reduce the width of the nose. The choice of method depends on the shape of the nose. The narrowing of the base of the wings can be used to reduce the size of the nostrils. Plastic surgery on the nose tip can make the tip slimmer. A change in the nasal bone will make your nose narrower and more beautiful.

Bulbous Tip (Tip Plastic Surgery)

Bulbous nose looks large and thick due to excess cartilage and soft tissues.

Is this procedure for you?

  1. You have a wide tip of the nose
  2. You have a thickened tip of the nose
  3. You are dissatisfied with the shape of the tip of the nose

How is the procedure performed?

A plastic operation on the tip of the nose is used to remove excess cartilage and form a straight nose. This operation can be combined with others to significantly improve the appearance of your nose.
